Tanna Sabbath

We were greeted with rain again this morning. We were very glad there was no need to go out in it. We lazed about in bed until late, and opted not to make the 1/4 mile hike up to the church next to Pastor Tommy's house.

Later in the morning the rain did stop and we walked around to check out our area. The clouds thinned and let quite a bit of sunlight through for a few minutes around noon.

Photos: Surf.  Old coconut brought in by the tide sits next to vine-like flowering plant that edges the beach.   Check out the "gravel" of our beach- the base is volcanic black rock, the red and blue/purple are peices of coral, white is either coral bits or peices of shell.

  2. Even though northern MN is a long way from the ocean, memories are strong and they come back to fill in the imagination! Glad you've had a little trip back down memory lane!
