Project Update 12-May
85% of the sheeting was on the Beverly Hills church by late afternoon on Wednesday. The guys are on their own, now. It is a holiday here today (Ascension Day) and Karl isn't even asking if they went out to work. We are headed for the airport at mid-day for our flight to the island of Tanna. Pastor Tom, who has been working with the construction team, returned home to Tanna on yesterday's mid-day flight to get things sorted and a crew gathered. Hopefully, Karl can hit the ground this afternoon and keep moving. If anyone can get it done, it will be Pastor Tom. They hope to get at least one church laid out this evening, and a second one laid out on Friday. Hopefully, there will be a good enough crew assembled to start digging holes on one while the second one is being laid out. It will be interesting to see how this plays out!

ReplyDeleteHappy Ascension Day!
Tanna is southeast, right? How many churches being built there? Besides the one for training?
Don't know how long you are staying, but I read that there will be a lunar eclipse on June 26, visible on most of the earth except the Atlantic, Africa, Europe and NW Asia. There will be a solar eclipse in the eastern South Pacific on July 15, closer to there than here, but still beyond your location and probably time frame.
Debbi updated the study group on your progress last night. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Steve
