Never walked through a cave by candle light, before. There was about 600 feet of very uneven walkway, requiring us to grope with our feet for each step into the hole left by an old volcanic lava flow. Don’t know if I’d do it again, but hey, everything’s an adventure.
In old times it was thought to be where all the spirits hung out after death. The first time they brought tourists to the cave, they let them lead the way, just in case. Old theories color our worlds, even when we logically know it isn't so.
