The crew is feeling confident to work on their own at this stage of construction, so with Friday being a half day of work, Karl chose to take the whole day to do something fun with Kit before his visit is over.
A van came by to add us to the group assembled for a trip to the northwestern coast of the Efate. Following a 30-40 minute drive on very good paved roads with great scenery, we arrived at Havannah Harbour where a motor boat was waiting.

Our guide for the day, Aaron Solomon, got us aboard and headed out to the island of Lelepa. There were several villages on the island prior to WWII.

When the US troops arrived in 1942, they moved them all to one end of the island and formed a new village, which still continues as the only inhabited part of the island today.
