Back on line... catching up with Friday events

Written 14-May-2010 @ noon

We slept to the sound of breakers crashing and temps cool enough to want a blanket. It was marvelous! But, the rain is inevitable in the islands, I guess. We woke to the sound of rain dripping on our veranda. Karl and Tomas took off about 9:00 am to hit the open air market and pick up the work crew, they stopped by here (10:00 am) to drop off some bananas, bread and avocados on their way to the SDA school.

The plan is to lay out the building, and hopefully get holes dug to pour the anchor posts. There is lumber on campus that Karl will use to build scaffolding, if there is time. Well, he didn’t “hit the ground running”, but it has been pretty good considering the variables involved!

Market… get a load of the tree size! View from our veranda. Black sand and gravel beach below our “villa”. View from beach back to grounds of Tanna Lodge.
