For the next month my study plan is to review the closing weeks of Jesus Christ's ministry leading up to His ultimate sacrifice. 
This morning I read from John 11 and also from Messiah by Jerry Thomas.
John 11:7-10 tells about Jesus heading back to Judea where He knew the leaders were plotting to harm Him.  Commenting on this in Messiah, a parallel was drawn that resonated with me.
"He (Jesus) knew that as long as He followed His Father's plan, He was secure."  Now here is what got me... "Anyone who follows the Holy Spirit's lead will walk the path of life safely.  But if we choose a path of our own, we're not safe no matter where we are."
