And, since we were in the area, on Sunday we ran up to Shattuck to see Karl's mom, Annie and his brother and sister-in-law, Lyman and Linda.

Parents celebrate 60 years of marriage

Claudine and Leo met the autumn of 1949 at Union College in Lincoln, NE.

Not many people have a photo from their first date, but they were caught in this shot taken for the school paper reporting the Halloween Party at Robber's Cave (they are the couple in the center).

According to my falther, they were seriously dating after the first date!  Here they are a few months later at another college function... the annual spring picnic.

Married at the Collegeview SDA Church in Lincoln, NE on August 27, 1950.
